I just didn't realize I had this many (and more) pitchers.
I used to have an awful lot of teapots, but I think you can do more with pitchers. A pitcher on a table is good to look at, you can put a bunch of flowers in it. You can use them for water or milk. Let's take a closer look:
Ik was me er niet van bewust dat ik zoveel kannen heb. Ik had in het verleden ook zo idioot veel theepotten, maar kannen zijn geloof ik toch leuker. Je kunt een kan gemakkelijker gebruiken, voor water, limonade of melk en ook voor bloemen of gewoon ter decoratie. Laten we eens kijken wat LiLi met haar kannen doet...
Ik gebruik en bewaar het wit met rode serviesgoed in de voorkamer of de salon, zoals wij dat zeggen hihihi.
If you drink tea or eat something here in the drawing room, we say 'salon', we'll use the red on cream mixed and matched tea/dinner set.
In de keuken gebruiken we het pastelkleurige serviesgoed van Regout. De kannen worden bijvoorbeeld gebruikt om hier GFT te scheiden, maar ook voor melk of limonade.
In the kitchen we use the cream and pastel tableware, it is Dutch, it was made in Maastricht by Petrus Regout.
Iedereen die mij al een tijdje volgt weet dat ik spullen met viooltjes verzamel, hier een stukje plank in de badkamer, met het viooltjes kannetje. (Zie mijn juli banner in de sidebar voor het hele plankje) De rest van het viooltjes servies wordt vooral in de lente gebruikt als decoratie.
One violet pitcher is part of the violet collection in my bathroom. The July banner in my sidebar shows the violet collection in the bathroom. I use the other pitchers with violets as seasonal decoration.
De grote kannen zijn eigenlijk lampetkannen.

De twee geheel witte kannen staan in de buitenkast. Hier een foto van vorig jaar, de kast moet inmiddels weer schoongemaakt worden, maar daar heb ik momenteel geen tijd voor. LOL!
The two totally white pitchers are in the cupboard in the garden, second door on the left, middle, you see? The photo is from last year, I still have to clean the cupboard after winter, but I'm too busy LOL!
Deze kan is momenteel mijn favoriet, verre van perfect, het was een koninginnedag koopje (2007), maar dat vind ik juist prachtig.
This is one of my favorites. Far from perfect, it was a bargain, but I love it. I use it as a vase, with a glass vase inside or just like this, only for decoration.
Toen ik kannen aan het verzamelen was voor dit project dacht ik dat ik ook wel de kleine kannetjes van de poppenserviesjes, die ik ook verzamel, nodig zou hebben. Maar dat was niet het geval. Ik nam toch even snel een foto van de kleine kannetjes. Voor een idee van de verzameling poppenserviesjes kijk hier.
When I gathered my pitchers to count them for this project, I also gathered the small pitchers from the children's tea sets that I collect. I just couldn't help myself taking a photo of the smallest pitchers. I did a post on children's tea sets here.
Ik dacht al wel dat ik de verzameling wit emaille kannen uit het souterrain niet nodig zou hebben. Ik ben inmiddels de tel kwijt, jullie zagen wel dat ik meer dan 21 kannen heb en ik ben er dol op!
Veel mensen die ik ken die oude spulletjes verzamelen beginnen met serviesgoed of blijven serviesgoed erbij verzamelen. Op dit moment heb ik een goed te onderdrukken zwakke plek voor crème met blauw Frans serviesgoed om te mixen en te matchen. Welk servies heeft op dit moment jouw voorkeur?

I already thought that I didn't need the white enamel pitchers in the basement. I lost count but I have more than 21 pitchers and I love them! Most people I know, who collect vintage stuff, start with or still collect vintage tableware. At this moment I have a week spot for the blue on cream French tableware to mix and match, but I can deal with it. What is your favorite at the moment?
