I've always loved old keys. I don't know which of the two is my first love:

This small skeleton key in the tin that belonged to my paternal grandmother, she used to keep her money in this tin, or:
Deze^, die bij het geldtrommeltje van mijn oma van vaderskant hoort, of
This small silver key that once was worn by me, just for fun, it is only 1/2 ".
Deze^ kleine zilveren sleutel , die ik zelf ooit aan een (langere) ketting droeg. Hij is piepklein nog geen centimeter lang.
Saving keys is wise. Once you've thrown them away, you suddenly find out that you cannot open that small lock anymore. We couldn't find the key of the gum ball machine for years, but fortunately hubby found it the other day. Now I can refresh the gum balls, they go back to 1983. :-}
Sleutels bewaren is altijd handig. Als je net weg gegooid hebt kom je er ineens achter dat je dat ene slotje niet meer kunt openen. Zo dachten wij dat de kauwgumballen voor de eeuwigheid in de automaat zouden moeten blijven zitten, maar gelukkig heeft hubby het sleuteltje na jaren weer gevonden, zodat ik de ballen uit 1983 eens zou kunnen verversen.
This^ antique slot machine is also waiting in the basement for hubby to find the key. It was opened and after that the lock was closed, so it won't close well. Too bad we cannot use it now.
Since I started blogging I buy old keys...
Deze eenarmige bandiet is ook zijn sleutel kwijt, hij blijft open staan omdat het slot dichtgedaan is. Zo hebben we momenteel niets aan de antieke gokmachine, maar misschien dat de sleutel één dezer dagen ergens opduikt.
Sinds ik blog koop ik ook oude sleutels...

or a collage. I have more than 20 keys. I use them quite frequently in craftwork and that is because I have about 20. I create best from abundance. If I have 1 or 2 I save them. Yes I know, I shouldn't do that, but I cannot help myself, that is why I need a few more keys (as well as some other stuff) than the average person.
Of een collage. Ik heb meer dan 20 sleutels en dat ik maar goed ook, want nu gebruik ik ze om te knutselen. Als ik er 1 of 2 heb dan bewaar ik ze. Ik weet het, dat moet je niet doen, maar ik kan het niet helpen. Ik creëer het gemakkelijkst vanuit overvloed en daarom heb ik (onder andere) iets meer sleutels dan de gemiddelde mens.
We had a few days of spring this week; 60º F. Here are 2 spring greetings in our garden. I love the crocus. We didn't plant them there, they just came up: 'Hi, happy to see me?' Yes!!
FF wat anders: Lekker was het voorproefje op de lente deze week! In onze tuin zag ik 2 ongenode maar o zo welkome gasten, daar geniet ik nou zo van!
And you know the effect on women of rising or declining temperatures? Right, we need to shop for clothes! So I bought a new spring coat, the belt^ alone cheers me up and the coat makes me smile all day.
En jullie weten het hè? Als de temperatuur stijgt of daalt dan krijgt je kledingkast de kriebels. Ik kocht een nieuwe lente jas, alleen al van de ceintuur^ ga ik glimlachen, de hele jas geeft me een big smile.
