A collection of fifteen: lace bobbins

Today I'll show you 15 lace bobbins: 

Vandaag laat ik 15 kantklosjes zien;

I bought these on a flea market in Belgium. I use them to put lace on them, as decoration or to swap.

Ik heb de kantklosjes op een vlooienmarkt in België gekocht. Ik gebruik ze om kant rond te doen, als decoratie of om te ruilen. 

The bobbins are totally messed up, but this is how they are used to make lace. 

Zo worden de kantklosjes ongeveer gebruikt, ze zitten hier wel totaal in de war, maar zo krijg je een idee.

Here the lace bobbins are covered with lace in the matchbox of inspiration swap.
En zo gebruik ik ze; hier zitten ze met kant omwikkeld in een lucifersdoos, klaar om te ruilen!

This was our destination yesterday, deep down south: Maastricht!
Hier waren we dan gisteren: Maastricht!

Een beetje winkelen... 

Maastricht is echt een  mondaine stad vind ik en veel kleurrijker dan een calvinistische stad als Dordrecht (die beslist ook zijn charme heeft, haast ik mij te zeggen!) 

 

 As in any country the South of our country is much more colorful! Maastricht certainly is a mundane city, quite the opposite of the town where I live, though that has it's beauty too.  

Of course we had the special pie that Maastricht and surroundings is famous for; 'vlaai'! And we had a lovely lunch and dinner as well. It was a wonderful day, thanks hubby! 
En natuurlijk aten we een stukje echt Limburgse vlaai (en een overheerlijke lunch en dito diner, een heerlijke dag, bedankt hubby!
